Update on burried 57 Plymouth in Tulsa

Off topic but still maybe interesting news, this car was buried in 1957 to be opened 50 years later. we`ll have to wait till Friday to see it. http://kotv.com/special/buried-car/

That really sucks that it got water in there, what a cool idea! I think its neat how they put gas and oil in there too, cause they werent sure if there was going to be gasoline now!

the way it's looking you may be able to bring it home in a sandwhich bag. With that water in tere it's gonna be interesting to see what happens to it when they try to move it

Yeah for sure. Did you read though about the plastic wrapping it is in. The company said it was good for something like 1200 years!

back in the 50's though they also said smoking wasn't bad for you, they used asbestos, and used lead based paints

i'm really interested to see it too. i remember reading obout it a while back and thinking i'd try to keep it in mind. thanks for the update Fom and boys!!

holy just rotted away looks like dam too bad eh i think they should try it like in 2007 here and dig it up 2050 we will see what happens then when where grandpas.. heh i wonder who will win!..

i dunno man, they would have to seal up the plastic so no water could get in... looks like its just a car cover kinda deal and the water would have gone up inside? or no?

yeah i'd say the way its sitting that it's toast. it'd be hard even with today's technology to completely seal it. at the very least you'd get condensation in there and after 50 years that could do some damage...
