4.6 triton miss

Unhappy 4.6 triton miss

both me and my friend have the same engine with the same problem. when crusing at 45 mph we get a bad miss. have a new fuel pump and filter, mass airflow sensor, plugs and wires, 2 new coils and no change. also no codes. i am out of ideas please help this is driving me nuts.

Maybe you have a tranny problem. Try doing 45 with the O/D off and see if that changes anything.

i tried that torkum and it will still do it. i thought that maybe the torqure converter was the problem.

can this be a crank sensor problem?

Get someone to scan it and check for misfires. That'll tell you which cylinder.

If you can't do that, do a compression check.

Does the engine tick at all?

When you changed the plugs, did any of them have a different color than the rest?

no ticking and no codes, i dont think it is hitting enough for the codes from what i read. the plugs looked good. i see that alot of people seem to have the same type of problem with this engine.
