Surging at 2100rpm

Surging at 2100rpm
I have an 05 with a 6 spd trans. and in 2nd or 3rd gear at 2100 rpm the truck will surge. It is at the dealership right now and so far the ford hotline has had the mechanic change an oil check valve, clean egr valve, reprogram pcm and check/clean? vgt actuator with no luck.
The ford hotline is out of ideas. Any suggestions.

I should note that it only surges while traveling at 2100 rpm. It doesn't surge if I accelerate past that point.

It could be an intermittant problem with a sensor that is not setting a code. Have the dealer give you a data logger to hook up and drive with, then the tech can look at real time driving data to help isolate and intermittant problem.

Sorry to sound sarcasitic, but I have had the same problem at 1700 rpm or 65 mph since new. Ford flew two (2) Yes, that is correct, 2 engineers out her in 2004 to drive my truck. Still to this day the truck surges. They have replashed, replaced, cleaned, monitored and whatever the every piece and part on the truck, including the turbo. Nothing has helped. The latest reflash dropped my fuel mileage by 20%. Power sucks, and NOW, the truck surges at 1400 rpm or 50-55 mph.
I believe it is time to look at a dodge or GM!

well that dont sound good
You have to get some gauges if you want to play
you can unplug ICP sensor and drive it see if that helps
Have you had the DTC scanned recent maybe its threw a code by noww sounds like it been back to the dealer recently
Theres enough info out here now we should be able to figure it out but your going to need a Gauge

If the tech performed the Flash Update correctly and then let the truck idle for at least 5-minutes prior to driving then the PCM should be re-written with the latest FMC program. BullyDog still may be giving the PCM fits however, as the PCM as a constant learning strategy and with the newest flashes, the EBP sensor is ignored and the PCM determins the VGT strategy based solely on the MAP & MAF sensors.
