Ok fellers..possibly need you to ask your wives something for me
I need to find someone that works with clay or plaster for a project I want to do for the truck. If any of you are crafty or knows of someone who is, I'd like to possibly commission them for this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know what I want to do but am not artistic enough to tackle it myself.

guess we need a little more info about what your need is.specifically. my GF and sis are into 'ceramics'. hope youre not in a hurry as im leaving in the morn for plymouth on a construction project for a week at least. maybe someone else can help if you give a little more detail of your needs. good luck
Well, I'm needing a skull made big enough to house a 10" sub. What we were trying to do was get like a big plastic bowl or something like that, but I can't find anything big enough, so I guess I'm going to have to get it made. Once we have the form, we're wanting to fiberglass around it. Also, if there are any ideas of other ways we could get this to work, I'd be glad to hear them. No rush, either.

get a ring of MDF board for the size you need to mount the sub. Build a base, then get a large block of styrofoam and use that to shape the skull. hollow out the styrofoam so that it fits over the frame for the sub. when you have that all placed and roughed out, then you can fiberglass over it with some fleece/resin or whatever you prefer.

try that out...
Thanks for the idea....didn't even think of the styrofoam. We built one over the past couple of weeks to house 2 12's that was an MDF frame with fabric stretched around it. Not box-shaped, and turned out really good.

That is a sweet idea!! If it does get made you should diffently take some pics
Oh, don't worry...if this turns out the way we're thinking, I'll definitely want to show it off! I'm also toying around with the idea of possibly hollowing out the eyesockets all the way through and putting in smoked glass and possibly put in led's as eyes. I have skulls pretty much all over the truck. I collect them...lol.

how big of a skull? shouldn't be too hard but will be time consuming if you really want it to look like a skull. you should go to that bodies exhibit at southpointe mall and take a lot of pictures of the skulls if you can so that it looks lifelike and not fake-like.
