Xyzzy is starting off with a positive reputation.
Stock steel wheels?

How do you clean the brake dust out of the stock (F150) steel wheels?

The outside of the wheel is obviously easy to clean, but there is a huge channel inside the circumference of the wheel, that water and dust accumulates in, and then the rest of the wheel that you cannot reach.

Thanks!

With the wheel off, you could try hosing the area off with clorinated brake cleaner, look for the stuff that says on the back "will cause Canser". You may need to take a nylon brush to aggitate it, but keep at it and it should come loose.

If you want to do the job completely and quickly, take them to a sand blaster.
