Factory security code...

My manual says it is on the owners wallet card (I don't have that), it is marked on the computer module and my dealer can get it for me. I have an FX4 regular cab and don't know what the security module looks like. Further research of past posts lead me to think it is behind the panel behind the seats. If so...are there any secrets to removing panel without tearing it up?

If you own a 2005 FX4 regular cab...DON'T take the back panel off behind the seats...you will only weaken the effectiveness of the push connectors and there is NOTHING back there. I do have something under my passenger seat though...there is a little black plastic box about 3" X 4" or so...but there isn't 5 numbers on it...there are several numbers and letters but none that I can recognize as a security code. Any other ideas? Thanks. Steve

Evidently they put them in any one of all the places mentioned above plus wherever mine is...unless it is behind the radio...I cannot get in there to see. There isn't anything under the dash on the drivers side to resemble aluminum colored. I will look for an aluminum colored box though everywhere else I can fit my head!! That at least lets me know what it looks like. Oh well...keep trying and I will keep looking. I can always take it back to the dealer but they aren't exactly right next door. Thanks guys and keep the suggestions coming...if nothing else, I will no where everything else is on the truck!!!!!!! Steve
