New Weather Stripping

Anyone direct me to where to get high quality replacement weather stripping for my '78 F150 XLT? I want to replace the whole works, doors, windows, rear sliding window. Any help would be great.

LMC might be able to handle the slider - hard to tell from there literature notes. Give 'em a call and ask... if not, maybe your local auto glass shop can help?

There is no replacement kit of fuzzies or anything for sliders.

I have been watching for a replacement kit for 6 years.

It is cheaper in the long run to just replace the entire window

Have you had a glass shop take a look at it, Dennis?

I had a set of aftermarket sliding sides in my 84 Bronco, and went to ask how much to replace the leaking, rattling things - the local glass guy was able to retrofit fuzzies and weatherstrip in them from his stock of residential window parts. Only charged something like $60 to do both (in 1997 dollars).

I replaced the old slider with a Brand new CR Laurence Electric slider ..for $40.00.

$20.00 or so to install it.

The Lower tracking always go to crap and all the accessories business people I wont stated there isn't a repair kit ..for any of them.

I would think the home stuff would break down faster in an automotive scenario.

I really don't know what kind of life it might've had - during the 2 years I kept it around, I never had any trouble. The new owner took the top off and probably never has put it back on.

I wish I could find door weatherstrip for my '95 Thunderbird! Impossible to find online... Don't know if I want the JCW 'Universal Fit' weatherstrip...
Sure glad the old trucks are getting attention from the aftermarket!

Check out stanpro.com - industrial grade products, can hold up to all kinds of environmental conditions. They are also a supplier for many of the OEM's.
