That is why I posted with the "LOL" before mentioning NOS. I work with a guy who has an LS1 in his Bird with a 250 shot of NOS. We rode in one another vehicles to compare notes. I will say that the sudden burst of power is nice BUT once the bottle runs out your kind of S.O.L. He can't tell me a thing about the internals of the engine but his credit card is max'd out from the shop that did all the work.

i dont know the budget for the proposed vehicle... but if a rebuild is in the budget, just do a stroker they really arent that much more than a regular rebuild, and if your engine is in rough shape to start out with they can even be cheaper sometimes because theres so much less machine work to do.
as for the bird with the ls1... why didnt he just rebuild it for power instead of nitrous? or swap in an ls-6? probably would have been cheaper to throw the bigger engine in, and then you have more power all the time
