I own a 05' Lariat Supercrew PD and love it but the whole twin turbo thing and the redesigned body style had me thinking i wanted an upgrade until i starting hearing about all the issues these new motors are having.

So far these motors haven't had any big issues. The whole thing with it throwing flames can't be that common because that is the only video that I have found with an 08' doing it. There must be something seriously wrong with that truck because its exhaust is loud as hell. One of the things I've heard about this video is that this person strait piped the exhaust, 2 things support that. The amount of noise, and if you look closely there appears to be some soot on the tailpipes. My 6.4 has 4800 miles on it, and the tail pipes are still relatively clean.

I'll stick with my "Quasi Trusty" 6.0 for now, its only been to the dealership 5 or 6 times for warranty work in 25k. It likes to leak oil from everything....

Later on i prolly will upgrade but not yet

The video was just cool, thats why i posted it

At least you don't need a Chebby if you want a "Blazer". Okay, lame joke, but that thing had a real metal-on-metal sound? Who knows what the hell is wrong with that truck? I'd almost say a SCREWED injector, except those common rail ones won't bang like a bad HEUI, would they?

OLD NEWS, that was only a problem on a few of the 08s at the beginning, some faulty injectors I think is what it was.
