352 in a 65' Galaxie, simple hose connection question

I know it's not a truck, but I am working on a Galaxie.

On the firewall, there are two connections for the heater core, upper and lower.

Which one goes to the water pump, and which one goes to the intake.

I can't find any notes from when I pulled it apart.

Thanks

I'd bet it doesn't really matter as long as you have flow, (a complete circuit), back to the block.

1965/66 Galaxie

Two outlets on heater core, one above the other.

Upper hose goes to intake manifold stand pipe/nipple/whatever's there.

Lower hose goes to nipple on waterpump (return).

Future reference

Nipple on waterpump...same as all Fords used 1949/79 = 8M-18599-A .. 3/8"-straight.

Taking a few photographs of what you're working on saves time and headaches when it comes time to re-assemble.

number dummy, you sure?
i've heard high outlet to low point on engine which would be water pump. and low outlet to high point (on intake) should help eliminate air bubbles.

This is not a pickup, it's a Galaxie, which has a heater core with two vertical outlets. I have the 1965/72 car parts catalog, and both hoses are plainly shown.
