Russ... East vs West...

Russ.. maybe we can sticky a E vs W thread with this at the top of the forum? Art is that possible? This way everyone can see and reply and also to see how things develop along the way. We can all kick in food and drink and have a nice BBQ besides. Also get some group rate hotel pricing? We can kick around a few locations too. Anywhere is ok with me. We should also try to find a sponser or part sponser. I can make BIG banners and flyers in full color. Maybe some T shirts depending on the cost. Maybe we can find someone who can design a logo for the event. I think done right and maybe if we sleeze in on another event the cost should not be that bad. And like you were thinking maybe ask the FordFE.com and the 460.com crowd if they are interested besides everyone here at FTE. Granted this is a ways off but better to get a jump on things. And your the grand boobah of the event!!

I posted something at the end of another thread, but I'll post it again here. I love the idea of an E vs W meet. When I lived in Tulsa, there use to be a huge Ford weekend in June of every year. They mostly stayed at a hotel in the southern part of Tulsa and used the entire back parking lot for a show and shine. They also rented out Tulsa Raceway Park (great 1/4 mile track) one night. If they still have that, maybe we could piggy-back our event and save some money. Owensboro is a beautiful city as well, but Tulsa might be more convienient for it's central location. If anyone is interested, I will see what I can find out about the Ford guys that use to do this. Sounds like a great time.

I saw that and then thought to start a thread on the subject. This way everyones thoughts and comments would not be scattered in other threads. If you can see what the cost to host such an event would be please do. I think that's the #1 question as to making an event like this possible. Then we can compare cost and location and see what works the best.

Good deal.

East vs West is a great idea.. If I can be of any help.. I'll gladly contribute. I am not super close to owensboro but I am closer than most (lexington, Ky) and I've got one helluva bbq pit!

Definatly be keeping an eye on this to see how it develops and if/how I can assist.

Be "Glad" to start designing a logo and banners, T's, Flyers, etc.. Glenn email me on this if you want and we'll get the ball rolling with drafts to start dialing it in.. If we drag our feet on it long enough who knows I might even be able to attend LOL

Sorry Rusty, snooze you lose! There was a thread on here over the weekend talking about having a big meet somewhere and running our trucks on the dragstrip and someone mentioned, "yeah, like East vs West or something". From there, it began a life of it's own. Throwing out ideas as to where. Pretty much everything is open for discussion. Rapid Russ suggested spring of '09 so everyone will have plenty of time to get their projects together. Your thoughts?

Actually, the Mississippi River is the dividing line. At least it used to be.

Well for a banner the West part I can pretty much drop together.. Left side of banner Background (Palms and ski ocean sand) Forground(a few BAD ASS RIDES)original FE vehichles/trucks.. Center: (suggestion) anyone with a bad ass looking FE submit some images and we'll vote for a winner, then the image willl be animated with force perspective.. East side: need some help here(suggestions?) Rides, Background elements, etc.. Any and all suggestions welcome... We could use this graphic for the Tees as well. OK lets here some input folks...

Just to "Clarify" something.. this is an FE event (power plant is FE only)? and do the rides have to be trucks or just FE powered originals? Just wanna have my ducks in a row before I start burning the midnight fuel LOL Oh and thanks for the lead time on this haha most of the "elevating half mules" I get to work with, need it last week LMAO Oh and G email me the size/s for a banner/poster you can do so I have basic frame and idea on resolution for the file/s.
