Great to see this thread brought back to the top again, I'd have never seen it otherwise. I'm definitely in for a trip to wherever all ya'll want to hold this event, should be just within my price range to go, and 09 would give me a chance to drop money on the engine for my truck. Sorry to hear about your sis, by the way, BOFE.

Sorry to hear about your sister. My condolences to you and your family.

Ahhhh, '79 T/A? What's it like? 400/auto? maybe a stick shift?? LOL! T tops? Black with gold bird? Ya, I like my Fords, but Smokey and the Bandit did making a lasting impression on me for T/A's.

Sorry to hear about your sis!! My condolences to your family. Glad to see this is still going. I am looking forward to it. Just will have to find a babysitter for the new baby which is due in April of 2008. But got my axles in and a new 950CFM carb so the mods are going on here. Hopefullly will have a nitrous set-up before the summer of next year. I preffer 1/4 mile, but i will go for 1/8 mile. To bad no one wants to drive down here to Texas. Their is a perfect little 1/4 mile track around here. Nothing fancy, just enough to go race on!!

Yes very sorry to hear you lost your sister. My condolances to you and the family.

Wish you were closer. My 17yr old would be interested in the 79 TA. What kind of shape is it in and what are you asking? He was looking at one down the street but all the blue paint was holding the bondo together on it.

Thanks one and all for your kind thoughts. Nope, this T/A is white with blue interior. I just fired it up and took it for a "spin" around the neighborhood. Man that thing is fun to drive. Just crack the throttle a little bit and hang on. Too bad I'm all Fords, this could be a fun car. It has the 6.6 liter (403 Olds) engine with the turbo 400 automatic. I have it listed on cars.com for 10,500 but I guarantee I would take less if someone offered it. I have to start somewhere.

Nice looking car. It looks really clean I'm sure you'll get what your looking for. You don't find those everyday in nice shape like that.

Thanks, Bob. With all my other things to keep me busy, job, wife, that sort of thing, I am doing well. My mother, on the other hand, is 81 and is at least coping. With the holidays fast approaching, we are detirmened to get her back down here to Texas to spend them with us.

I agree I probably wont make it LOL.. but I am trying.. spent that last two days organizing the garage in hopes of getting the 390 together. Or at least enough room to turn around, and the ability to find **** in at least 30 min LMAO!!! I think it's time to find a grease monkey/anal retentive/clean freak girlfriend ROFLMAO!
