Well I just finally got on to check out the site. WOOOOWW!!!... this sounds like fun!!! Well '09 will be perfect for me. any earlier and no way. Just to much going on to make it. And to save for the trip. the way fuel prices are going it will take from now to than to pay for the trip LOL.....NO seriously though... I am in Central texas (austin area) and will be glad to make a trip where ever it is. I missed the FE nationals a few years agon in OK because of a broke engine. I plain on making this one. Just got a cheap set of axles to drive the truck on but should have my mosers by the end of the year. Maybe some more moods to the engine by '09!!!
I think these graphics are going on the back burner till mid July, no matter how much time I put into getting the boat ready for the meet it's just like nothing happened LOL.. Not really, it just seems that way. But between BOAT, LANDSCAPING THE YARD, GARDEN, DIRTY DRAWERS ETC.. it's just a no win situation hahaha
Bob, LOL..Take your time...Its on our side now...LOL.. The project is just fluff on the side....Hell I have wrecked 2 cars in the last month...Not to worry..Not drinking..Timing belt out in my grocery getter...Dead in the water, and Hit a buck at 55/60 mph in the fog at the mountain 3 weeks ago... and only had PL & PD on it...its a 96 GP.. So I'am sucking Hind tit too!!

With a Secret BBF/TBA sometime??
Hey Russ;
If you don't mind I would like to send you a PM or even drop a dime and call you in the next couple of days.
(I have to go out tomorrow to catch some more sturgeon). I know, going fishing on the Columbia river is tough but someone just has to do it. So put me in coach, I am ready. After that I will call or PM with your permission.
I have been around for a long time and I know it is going to come down to a couple fo guys to put this thing together as it always does if it is going to get done. So keeping it as simple as possible is going to be the key if everyone involved is going to have FUN.
I don't mean that some won't but for those who have to do the majority of the behind the scenes work, they are so busy and then worried about whether everything is done right they don't get to enjoy it as much.
So I have some things I want to run by you before I go to the forum with them if at all.
I believe this thing can and should be a hell of a lot of fun and I am sure everyone who wants to come is thinking the same thing. I just don't want to see it turn out to be more work than it is worth or perhaps become so big that it don't happen. Me thinks we should think "baby steps" to begin with and when we get there we can have a meeting and begin to plan bigger for the future.
Anyway some of the things I want to talk to you about.
Oh sorry about that UF, I wrote back buy I guess it didnt go thru....I have been having problems with AOL lately...I ussually have to reboot and start over again "IF" I catch it..
I think scoot has my #....If not let me know and I'll sent it to your email..
Russ

Hey, speak'n of odd powered vehicles. You shoulda seen the piece I saw last weekend. It was a '32 Ford rod with a Chebby motor in it.....BUT.........you should have seen what they went thru to make it look "Ford". It was painted Ford Blue, it had these big phony "cammer" looking alum valve covers on it to make it look "BIG" and somewhat like a Ford motor. It was SICK!! Why in freak'n heck would you go thru ALL THAT..........just put a Ford in it from the being!!! Oh the humanity!!!!
Oh, '09 sounds good, but unless I fly in I don't see me being there. And all my junk IS running.
Just checked Mapquest, it's a smooth 800 miles from Bedford, Texas to Owensboro. I'm up for that. Just got my new wiring harness in so at least I'll have lights
Hey. its only 1683 miles from me!!! It sounds like a lot of fun, but I doubt I would be able to make that kind of trip. I will keep an eye on this though, never know!

It wasn't the RPM, it's the mileage....on a good day it gets 13 mpg(more realistically 12 mpg). 1683 miles/13mpg=129.5 gallons of gas!! 129.5x$3.00 gallon???(may be better along the way??)=$388 of gas ONE WAY!!!!!!+ meals, lodging, etc. Not a small commitment for my budget! But, like I said I am going to watch closely, things might change.

Well, who knows, the price of gas could be lower or even higher by then. My truck doesn't do well in mpg department either. In fact, I might even consider towing it if I don't have a/c by then.
