Yeah Maybe I'll put the hair dryer on the wagon and that sneaky Pete 150hp shot on it...all that should be good for 300hp and about one pass !! LMAO!!

I am glad to see this brought out of the dark again and hopefully to get some life back into it.
I am still good for my original offer to help to make this happen. I have visited and met some of you through the forum and PMs and would really like to get some faces with names and to see some of the work done on these machines.
I know scoot will not have the pretty stuff done as he is too danged busy trying to make it go faster. If he can finally reach the speed of light he may get back to finishing the thing and trying to get it in the books.
Anyway I think I can tell you he is looking forward to coming as well and even went out and bought his own trailer to tow it with. So I now only have to drive one way.
If someone actually has a place acceptable that can be nailed down it will probably go a long way toward getting it off the ground.
I am definitely still interested in coming to a meet somewhere. Maybe if we can nail down a location somewhere we could start getting a head-count of who would show up. If there is only a couple of people it really doesn't make sense to try it.
Well Brian I believe your right ! I personally dont think there's enough Running trucks right now to swing a good Race.. and make it worth everyones time and money invested...
As for myself ...I have Ol blue off the road now...and in a few piece's making room for other things to come... And I think Barry R is right that we go in with the other FE Forum to possibly get some more FE power out to a track..
I might even be able to get some guys from Chilly's forum to came with there BBF....I know that they'll have another meet in the spring? I think Lem Said they only had a turnout of about 50 cars and trucks as alot of guys took a weeks vacation for the spring race that was washed out...and then couldnt make the July race.... But Lem sponsored the Super Pro class and Dan Hobbs collected a $2000 check for his efforts and I "think" it was Adney who sponsored the Pro class and put a check up for $1000 for there effort..
But we would just need a run what yeah brung class and do a bracket thing..So the Little guys like myself would still stand a chance againt a T/F Car !! LOL>>> Yeah right...But you guys get the point!!
And Brian, I dont know of any Trucks in this forum that could go up against yours!! and I meen not even close...I know Wes Littrel might be in your Class and Dougs 76, but there both running BBF and one is a little faster than you and Doug is a little slower than you.. I think Dougs first run in the 1/4 was a 10.2 something?
So we'll have to take a poll of who's trucks or cars are running or will be running next year? I dont know what else to do...?? Hopefully the price of gas will come down some also???
Russ

Unless it happens late in 09 and by some miracle the financial situation takes a serious turn for the better, I don't see this one making. And with olé Jenny at a 22sec 1/4 mile you gotta wonder if it's even worth it LOL (JK)
Well it is a good idea to invite other forums and members to attend. I agree on that 100"%. But I'd also like to meet the gang from here too. Being the idea was conceived here and all. We could always push it back a year to give everyone a better chance to attend?? This fall my junk comes apart...as it's falling apart on it's own. LOL!! And while I know exactly what I have to do.....I need the Franklins to get it finished. And being how these things need time to plan etc...I'm sure we can get a better meet and showing once those things are ironed out and in place. I can for certain be ready for spring/summer 2010. And maybe work it in with other groups as well like Russ said. Bobby would that work for you possibly?? Open for suggestions.

2010 has a nice ring to it LOL... might outa get started on those graphics huh ? LOL... my brother mentioned to me I have a small portion of web space available with our internet connection, it's own domain name etc.. I'll ask him what kinda options are available with it. Maybe host a web page there for it ? registry? calendar of events, etc..
That would be cool Bobby if you could. 2010 might be good for others too who are just not ready and would like to attend. And we gotta party with the Red Man ya know!!!

Hey I'am all for what the majority goes for..... I know these things just dont put themselves together...and I know this better than most.... With all the crappy blocks I've gone thru and the theft of a buddies shop.... I still keep chasing that elusive killer build..LOL...
I was hoping to have this thing running for my 55th B-day ? But who knows now....and as far as the other forums go...I'am sure most will be hanging around in there own click, and just checking out other rides....as we will do.... But I do know that most of the BBF guys arent as anal as some on that other forum, and would like to hang around us Beer drinkin , bean eatin, raunchy talkin , gas smellin Grease monkeys!!! LOL.. I speak for myself!!! LOL
Plus that'll give Brian time to make the final touch's on his truck, and not only show us how fast it is but by then how purdy it is too!! I think Kenny wants to see it in the Truck Rags before Brian Tears it up!! LOL... Naw I know he wouldnt do that..He loves that truck as much as life itself!!

With the price of fuel........I'll doubt that my stuff will make it. Driving the truck or trailering it with the Mack will both be a feat that will be bank breaking. Sure would be cool though!
That's very true Larry. Seeing how the price of gas was HALF when this all started. That is a concern. I think Russ told us all to just charge the gas we need to his account. He'd cover it all. Nice guy that Russ....
Diesel is still the most expensive here at $4.98 a gal. 87 has puckered a bit to $3.79 or so. 110 racing still $9.98. Ouch. I doubt we'll ever see gas a $2 a gal ever again.
