I had a rattle also, but was on the passenger side. After a week of trying many different things, I finally found it. It turned out when they replaced my muffler with magnaflow the pipe holder that goes to a rubber holder was a little lose. That was almost at the back wheel! I guess rattles can travel. Did you do any modifications lately? Do you have any mods ? Cias, shocks, brake shoes, leveling kits to name a few, have been known to rattle. I would think back to when it started , is there something that might have caused the problem to start? Good luck with your search. BWEP

Sounds like a bushing. Try looking at your sway bars and other steering bushings. Could also be the rubber hanger grommets on your exhaust too. But I'd looke closer up front.

I have a similar problem in my jeep only its caused by a bad U-joint in the front drive shaft.

Another vote for the sway bar link. Have someone rock the truck side to side while you pinpoint it from underneath.

I have had a similar rattle in the left front on my 04 screw since day one. The dealer told me that I am hearing things, but it is definetly there. I have had it up in the air, and tapped on everything underneath. I am at a loss.

Is it possible it is in the dash somewhere? Or under the floor? It is hard to tell.
