Loss nuts for the carburetor studs...
ARP 200-2401 - ARP Carburetor Studs - Overview - SummitRacing.com, but I don't think that I would have cut them off and replace them. Please let me know what would you?
Talk to you all soon,

There is no arbitrary number for the timing when modifications have been applied. Use the factory timing for a starting point and experiment from there. JMO, timing is best set using a vacuum gauge. Unplug the vacuum advance from the distributor and plug in a vacuum gauge. Advance or retard the distributor until the highest steady vacuum reading is achieved then back off 1-2 hg. Then adjust the carbs using the vacuum gauge to the highest steady reading. Do the whole process again...first timing then carbs...then hit the street to try it out to see if further adjustment is necessary.

wow, been 5 years since starting thread
so after being on hold a long time, i'm back at it.....
i've got the 3 x 1 carbs to thier final home (was tested on a 78 f-150) I didn't think the chrome air cleaners fit my 52 so i got these and modified to fit. i can't wait to get fired up, but still got alot to do...........

52', I like that setup! Very cool looking!
Did you cut up 3 regular 1 barrel intakes to make this one? That takes some skill, cast iron sure isn't an easy thing to weld.
And it's just my opinion, but if you could get your hands on one of those HD exhaust manifolds, I think that would look cooler and match the carbs better than the EFI ones. Just my opinion though!

i'm not sure what a HD exhaust manifold is, do you have a picture or link?
there are a few picturs of the intake build in this thread. 52' F-3 buildup........ - Pirate4x4.Com

Very cool! I'd like to try my hand at making one of those someday.
The HD exhaust manifold looks a lot like the original log one, but if flows almost as good as the EFI manifolds and has a bigger 2 1/2 inch outlet that goes straight down. There's a couple pics in here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...-manifold.html The only issue might be heating the other two carbs, not sure how that would work...
