New Shoes for My 68 F100
I am doing a frame off overhaul/upgrade on my 68 F100. After eliminating three of the 5 original leafs and the front coils, I installed Airlift 5000 lb bags all around with the automatic Load leveler set up. All new PST Polygraphite suspension and 3 inch body bushings. The bed and cab are still off the truck but the repair and modifications will be done soon. I had installed a 78 front end and reworked the 9 in rear with 2.91 ratio and a pair of redrilled 11 in front discs off a 95 f100 4wd. ffice:office" />
I have 3 sets of 15 inch rims. One set of Steel Wagons and two sets of old school aluminum slots. On the front calipers 15's clear by just about 3/16 in but on the rear they hit the large 78 Eldorado calipers over the 11 in f100 discs. When I installed the rear under the frame I realized I had forgotten to check the rim fit over the caliper. I currently have a set of redrilled discs that fit a 95 Mercury limo which only measure 10 inches, with the smaller Eldorado calipers.
Also for what ever reason the set of large 78 Eldorado calipers I got from Advanced Auto parts were missing the Ebrake springs and brackets. I was unable to acquire the missing parts as well.
I really want to install the 11" discs, which means going up to a 17 inch rim with a 5x5 1/2 bolt pattern.
So hers my questions
Has anyone here ever put 17" rims on their 66-72 F series and if so what were the size/specs of the rim (offset and backspace)?
also
Does anyone know of newer stock 17" rims that will work for my application?

Thanks
