56 9""

New to the forum, and looking for some help.I just bought a 56 F100,and among the things to do is upgrade the drivetrain.I have a 9'' from a mid 70's 1/2 ton-can anyone tell me if I am going to have to narrow at all or are the widths/tracking the same, and will rim offset be enough to make it work...
Thanks for any and all help

Welcome to the site

Just a friendly reminder that this regional forums are not really for tech related topics.

The tech forums are for tech questions as the audience they reach is worldwide.

The regional forums are for Regional FTE discussion or personal things.

The drivetrain forum would have been the best place as it cobvers all years of trucks.

I can link to this site for info though.

Mil1ion is correct, you also can try the 56 truck guru in the 1948 - 1960 F1, F100 And Larger F-Series Trucks forum http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum41/
Just as a real quick tip the 72 and down F100 rear ends are a direct bolt in, the 73 and up are wider....
