Rain Rain!!!!

Well it's been raining quite a bit out here lately.....how about where all you fellas are at? It needs to let up pretty soon so we can get back in the field. We've had enough rain here that most of the cricks, etc are running right at the top of the bank, or even over it some places. I guess that's my random post for the day.

-Jake

However, if it keeps raining I can spend more time here on FTE......

We haven't gotten too much in Omaha from this last group of storms, but we are way ahead on rain for the year.

Maybe you can pass the time doing some mud bogging!

I just put an Evinrude on my tailgate. Good to go.
Way too much time punting on exterior work . . . which leads me here at 2 in the afternoon.

Good thing is, you won't have to irrigate for a while, the bad thing is, you need crop in the ground. You know NE, it can rain for days, than all of the sudden, it doesn't rain for the rest of the summer.

Yea......once it stops raining we'll be crying, but that's the way it goes. I actually think we'll need to irrigate sooner because the crops won't be rooted down as far as in a dry year (roots grow as far as they need to in order to get moisture, etc). Oh well. Hopefully we'll get some seasonal rains to give us breaks in July, when we'll really need the rain............

I hear ya Rob.....one of these days I'll get the 4wheeler out and have some fun!!!!

I'd just like to be able to wash the trucks, and have them stay clean for more than two days!!! You guys are right, it'll stop raining here in a few weeks, and won't rain again til september!

I dunno what it did elsewhere but about 6pm tonight the sky got dark fast, then it made a bunch of noises that had my little girl squirming tight into daddys lap, and it rained like the devil for ten minutes and all quit.
My yard was a lake. Almost 2 inches in the gauge in ten minutes. Dont see that in NE very often.
