What size tires for 2001 F-150 4x2?

What size tires for 2001 F-150 4x2?

I have a 2001 F-150 4x2 that is bone stock...came with the steel wheels and tires.
Without a lift, what are the biggest tires I can put on it, without any rubbing, and without needing to do any modifications to steering stops, etc...?

EDIT: I got the 6-cylinder, 5-speed...it's the work truck model.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 23-Sep-02 AT 05:52 PM (EST)]I had a 97 F-150 2x4 with steel wheels and put 265/75-16 on it and had no problems with rubbing or steering or loss of power. I have seen 285/75-16 or 305/70-16's on the same truck but those sizes really filled up the wheel-well and didn't leave much room. You might notice some rubbing and a loss of power with a V6 with anything larger that 265/75-16 too.
