I own a 76 bronco that has some interesting things about it, and I am not sure what they all mean.
First-the fenders in the rear have been cut and rolled to match the front-a very professional job. Looks to have been done when the truck was new.
Second-it only has a mirror on the driver's side outside-with an inside adjust lever (cable on a lever). No passenger side mirror-or holes in door skin for it.
Third-The production tag is intact and reflects matching VIN numbers-but all of the info (color, axle, etc...) are blank.
Fourth-It has double shocks all around that also appear to be original.
It has an "Explorer" badge on the glovebox. I have the owners manual that came with it, and a photo-copy of it when new. It also had a light bar on the old (full) hard top.
302 Auto.
It is sorta Stroppe-like, but I don't believe that he was doing the mods in the later years.
It needs some serious TLC, but is essentially rust-free body. Some kid got hold of it for awhile and didn't do it any good.
I have owned a 70 and now have a 77 in addition to this 76. I know a little about these great vehicles, but this one has me wondering...any input would be great.

I would start with the Vin and do research from there... there are a few sites that offer info by VIN.. (i cant think of the URL off the top of my head though...)
You could always go through Ford too
Sounds to me like you have a bronco that was sold new to an aftermarket specialty conversion company... many manufacturers did this
