some of those things people do to their rides i dont understand as well.
why make a good off road vehicle and dont go off road is a bit odd to me.
But i do understand one side is for function and one side is to have something cool to look at. I am one of those who does not want to ruin anything i do but to me why build a toy and not play with it.

Other are why lower a vehicle so you cant go over a speed bump.
Or even put so much money into a sound system that you have to stand outside your vehicle to not make your ears bleed.
Or put a buy american sticker on your kia.
And maybe even have a car that can go 200mph but never do anything but go from stop light to stop light.
These and many more are somethings that dont make sense to me heh.

But in the defense of the people who build and not use. Sometimes they put alot of time and money into their ride and have alot of pride in it. And if they go and use it for a fun weekend it can ruin it for months while they try and piece back together thier pride and joy. That might take some of the fun out of building.

I will however keep my opinion, that i think if you build it use it.
And those other guys can keep on adding thier gadgets and hoo hoos.
They might be bigger and faster but if thier not gonna use it.
They won't be having as much fun as me.

Just remember that we all love our Ford Trucks...Some are for show, some are for bragging, and in my case....................She is a Redneck Truck with all her 'Battle' scars!!!!!

Dave, you have a great opinion. I agree with you. If you build it, use it. We met the other day and talked trucks, well I loaded the camper and towed the boat to Mayfield Lake last Friday morning. The truck did much better than I thought. Felt the camper more than the boat. Of course, 25 - 60 mph up mid hill on the back side of Tapps/Sumner road. Shifted from setting 1 to 3 on the fly and flew up the hill. 17,000 lbs. a cruising.

Finally got my truck home, im almost giddy heh.

And if you cant tell, that is a full size one ton chevy van behind the truck.

But wouldn't ya know it i had got to bring it home friday night and saturday it was already giving me problems, so i had to take it to shop this morning, but the guy did about 5 minutes worth of work to it and it is all better and snug at home.

Get up into Greenwater up in the old logging roads. I'll talk to a friend of mine who is part of the local tribe and find out where he goes in there. The other thing I would do wait until August and head up to the North End of Lake Cle Elum when the water gets low. DO go with someone that has a truck that can pull you out or with a winch. The Lake gets extremely Mucky up there, but fun. Saw the pictures and video of a ford truck w/ 6" lift bury itself to the doors.

Dave, NICE!

Can't wait to see it and crawl under looking at that good lift job.

Watch out for 4wheeling a 6-foot-wide-body-and-sidemirrors into a 5.5-foot-wide jeep trail lol. Have a ball, that truck should sure "do it".
