In here, someone mentions that their 2002 PSD has a sticker on the back window that states "525 FT/LB Torque". Oddly, my 2002 has the same sticker.

I thought that the 2002 officially was rated at 505, and the 2003's were rated 525. Maybe I got some misinformation?

Can you guys clear this up for me? Was there a date cut off in 2002 where the engine used in the 2003 trucks was used/produced?

I thought that from 01-03 it was 250hp, 525 tq, slightly higher in the manual. Never seen a sticker in the back window though...

 

"The 2002 7.3L Power StrokeTM turbo diesel V-8, the best-selling engine in its class - gas or diesel, produces 250 horsepower and 505 lb.-ft. of torque with the automatic transmission; or 275 horsepower and 520 lb.-ft. of torque when joined to the manual transmission." This is from the specs section of FTE

 

my sticker is on the passanger side valve cover, its bright orange, it shows year motor was built and HP/Trq #, like mine, My truck is a 2003, but the motor says
year built 2002, 250 HP & 525 TQ.

 

Before i bought my used 1999 DRW truck they had 2 other trucks both 2002 on the lot and i noticed only 1 out of the 2 trucks had this stick on the back d/s rear window. It say's something like

Powerstroke
Diesel
525ftlbs torque

Maybe the other truck somebody peeled the sticker off or fell off?

My 2003 Has The Sticker, It Is On The Inside Of The Window And Is Actually A Static Cling Not A Sticker So Could Have Easily Come Off.
