Don't know that you're going to make more noticeable HP. The RPM is taller, which adds plenum volume. Typically, it will raise the points where peak hp and tq. occur, which is what the 270H wants. It's not a low rpm torque cam, anyway. Needs good flowing heads to keep velocity up. I was gonna post about those Rhoads lifters a while back, but got lazy . Their greatest asset is providing good vaccum with a more radical cam, by calming down your duration- helps with power brakes. At WOT and later in the rpm's, they act like a normal lifter.
how much horse power am i going to gain with a edlebrock rpm intake
it will be a noticable difference...your running a basic stock intake now, the rpm is a great intake. I have used both and I'll never use a performer again...
how much timing does the 270 h cam like. today i messed with the timing a little its a mallory dual point converted to e spark . when i back the timing off it seems to smell like its buring better but starts to lope and it feels better whith less advance .the way i had it before was advanced it till it started pinging at wot then backed it off till it stoped pinging but it gets too hot and starts to ping so now i backed the timing off and it seems to be running cooler but its lopeing maby the mec advanced is messed up in the dizzy?. i allways thought the more timing the better .
