fact. 2" lift

I have just got a 79 bronco. It has a 73 400-c6 in it. It is a good project truck. It has 35" mickey thompson bajas on the back. The front is drooping from a HUGE homemade winch. I have been told that it has a fact. installed 2" lift. Is this correct??? If so, can I run 35's with possible fender trimming at worst case?

I never new of there being a 2" lift from the factory. I wouldnt say there wasn't though. My local Ford dealer offered a custom package on their trucks back in the late 70's where they were lifted 4" and had 33's on them, custom interior , etc , but this was done by the dealer themselves, not factory. Maybe you have something like this. You could probably buy some 2" lift coil springs to replace yours though.

fact. 2" lift

I know a guy with a 79 f150 that has a fact. 2" lift. it is same as my Bronc. I found some aftermarket springs. What I am curious about is will I have to trim fenders to run 35's.

Bulldog, yes they will probably rub ( the front ones anyway ) with only 2" of lift, you'll probably have to do some trimming on the fenders.

Thats cool about your 2" lift from the factory. Never knew it existed. You learn something new everyday!!

Bulldog , I did some digging around on a Big Bronco web-site and it says on a 78 to 79 Bronco you will need a 4" lift to run 35's.
