Karen, regarding the request/beg part -- I think there was an earlier thread from a Ford employee who was able to provide these.

If, for some reason, this does not pan out, you can also request an X-plan PIN if you are a Ford stockholder. Investment is possible directly through Ford's stock registrar...follow the Investor link from the www.ford.com web page. I think the minimum is $250 or $500. You can sell the stock later if you wish, but the price may have changed.

I believe you should take the X-plan PIN with you to the dealer on your first visit. You may be best served by asking to speak to the sales manager directly rather than to whoever is on the floor. Others may have different advice.

Regarding the percentage of savings, it varies based upon the model. If you go to any of the web sites which purport to offer information on real invoice prices, you should receive a price close to that.

I thought that some models were excluded from X-plan...the Escape hybrid may be one of those. But the list changes periodically if my understanding is correct.

Good luck,

Hank Murphy

Karen,

You need to tell the dealer in your first meeting that you have an X plan PIN. The dealer has to show you the vehicle's invoice which shows the X plan price on it. Once you have a PIN you can go to Ford's website that will tell you the X plan prices.

Now is as good a time as any to get the PIN. I can get you one. PM me the name that will be on the title, address, email, and the last four digits of that person's social security number.

I checked and the Escape Hybrid is available on X plan. Right now the vehicles that are not X plan eligible:

Mustang Shelby GT
Mustang Shelby GT500
F450 chassis (F450 pickup IS eligible)
F550 and up
E450

Just wanted to drop a line and let you know I am leading an effort at my home plant to get everyone (about 2000 people) to give away their X-Plan PINs. I already have another 8 available from one of the guys I work with. I will add more people as time goes. This means if you know anyone at all who wishes to get a great Deal on a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury you can send them to the following e-mail= HatkowPro@ aol.com . This is Scott's e-mail . I am expecting e-mails from people interested in X-Plan PINs. This is the same deal I have given you no strings attached, just the desire to see Ford gain ground. You can forward this e-mail to anyone you want and post on sites too. Anyone who contacts that e-mail address should make the subject heading read "X-PLAN PIN NUMBER!". This will let Scott know it is not spam from someone he does not know. As I said, I am making a grass roots effort to put X-Plan pricing in the hands of people who would not normally have access to a Ford worker. My goal is 4000 X-plans given away! With a few people spreading the word, we can do it!

Remember, have people send their Name and Full address to start the process, this will keep the back and forth e-mails to a minimum and make things quicker! Also, please only request a PIN if you plan to order or purchase from a dealer lot within a month of obtaining the PIN. This will help us keep track of how many PINs are left.

Thanks again for your interest and support of Ford products!

P.S.
My plan is to have each person give out a new e-mail of another employee each time they use all their numbers up,so the line will keep moving. I will still answer questions about once a week if needed through e-mail! Wish us luck!

x-plan pin request

Hello,
I am in need of a PIN for X-Plan in the next few weeks.
I have ordered an '08 F350 4x2 Lariat, and will have the build date very soon
I'm asking early, as I will be out of town 4/26 to 5/17, with limited access to
the web and email.

If someone can help, either now in with a few weeks, I would be very appreciative.
I have an F150 KR that I will be trading in, and my other car is an '02 Explorer Limited which I bought on X-Plan through my former employer. I'm a loyal Ford
customer, for the last 40+ years!

If I'm in the wrong place for this request, please excuse -- I am new to the forum.

Thanks....

You're actually asking very late. The X plan rules require you to have a PIN BEFORE talking to a dealer. Someone will probably still give you a PIN, but this puts the person issuing you a PIN at risk of losing their priveledge to issue PINs.

This is very confusing to me. On the BlueOvalForums X-plan pin request, one of the rules states (paraphrased) "ask for the pin within 30 days of use. If not used within 30 days, it will be cancelled and another will not be issued to your SSN." I don't know if that is a rule on this forum or company-wide. If it takes 6-8 weeks to build and deliver, I will be outside the 30-day window. I have a catch-22 problem then.
For what it's worth, I told the dealer at time of order I was going to use an X-Plan pin,
and he didn't ask for the PIN to place the order. I've bought from this dealer before on X-Plan from my former employer. But, if I don't get a PIN, I will likely be
paying the invoice or higher.
If the 30-day rule does not apply here, then I am safe, as long as I get the PIN by the
time I make the deal - correct? I'm certainly NOT trying to get anyone in trouble.

Sorry I jumped on you. You did follow the rules by telling the dealer you'd have the PIN.

An X plan PIN is good for one year from date of issue. BOF has made their own rules that you have to use it within 30 days.

I'd help you out but I already gave away my allotment for 2008.

Thanks, I was worried that I had ruined my chances to get a PIN.

Maybe someone will help me soon.

Thanks again!

Unhappy

I forgot to mention that HatkowPro has no PINs remaining at this time, either.

coming over from the dark side

I have decided to buy my first Ford. After growing up in a GM household and owning at least one GM product continuously since I was 18, I am ready to trade in my only current GM truck on an F250! I am already a Ford Truck Enthusiast and I do not even own one yet!

However, to make this possible, I really need an X-plan pin. Is there anyone out there who can help me do this?

I've already been getting calls from my friends who are die hard GM owners asking me what I am thinking. In each case, I have enjoyed listing the reasons why I like the F250 over the Chevy/GMC 2500. If we are lucky, I can convert some of them as well!

If possible, I need the pin ASAP. I already found a truck, told the dealer I want to do x-plan. In the past, I was eligible for GM supplier through my wife's company. Unfortunately they are not in the X-plan partner program. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Regards,

Lee

Update-
I've got the build date - 4/21/2008 and delivery date to dealer - 4/28/2008.
The VIN is 1FTWW30YX8EE04776
Trouble is, I'm out of town for 3 weeks starting 4/26/2008, so it will sit on the dealer lot
until I get back.
Would someone please take pity on me and provide me a PIN before I leave town on the 26th?
Thanks!
