Fuel Pump Question

I have a 47 with a Flathead 6, I just got a new carb( holley 847) installed... the fuel pump was working fine before....I've blown out the fuel lines and can't find any obstuctions there and when I take the fuel line off the fuel pump out put...it spits fuel out when the engine is cranked, but won't get it to the carb... I recently rebuilt the pump bout two months ago... could the fuel pump be bad again? Any suggestions? Is a 6V electric pump the way to go?
Thanks

Brad

Vehicles from this time frame had a glass bowled fuel filter somewhere in the line. Inside the bowl is a ceramic fuel filter. If you have one of these systems, unscrew the top and remove the ceramic filter...it's clogged solid. The filters are available at NAPA.
