I am an apprentice lineman. Basically I get paid a crap ton of money to be trained to make an even bigger crap load of money while doing a job I love
the pluses:
1. I get three raises a year between one and two bucks an hour each.
2. I get to work outside
3. The work changes everyday
4. All my benefits and retirement are in addition to my wages
5. 4 lineman retire to every one that is trained
6. you can work anywhere in the country (or world for that matter)
7. nothing beats going to an ice strom/hurricane/tornado and banking 6 grand a week or more (good bye storm money, hello new toys, or if you are smart you invest it)

Junior in high school, work at the family radiator shop. Well not workin at all do to a full arm brace for a severed tendon. Its weird when you can't move your pointer finger. Not sure what the future holds but it won't involve any desks. Id rather make $15 an hour working in the rain, mud, whatever Than $20 in a heated building behind a desk. Been thinkin about logging. I live in southwest washington so there are plenty of trees.

Right now my dad and I run a him and I construction company we do EVERYTHING :-) I hate it ahahah slowly becoming a stock trader which is quite fun, and have been working it pretty well (yes there is money to be made in the stock markets even as they're not so hot) I do more penny stocks, a bit more risky but if you play it right and arent greedy its good!

i haul scrap metal, mow lawns, and do side jobs for people. it doesnt pay too much, but I earn my money the old fashioned way, through good, honest hard work. i enjoy manual labor, and am not afraid to work.
from the beginning of november till last tuesday, i worked for my uncle at his lawncare business doing fall clean-ups (leaves, etc). it was a 60+ mile commute each way, but i didnt mind cause i saw all my trucker friends on the highway, plus, my uncle is as crazy as me, so we just spun each other up and were doin random, stupid stuff all day (but the work got done).
my dream job is to own a heavy haul trucking/construction company. of course id have the truck with the biggest motor, trans, axle rating, wheelbase, train horns, straight pipe stacks, etc. and id drive everyday.
