Uhaul wont rent for an explorer because of a spat between Ford and Uhaul concerning an Explorer. Nothing to do with the drive train. We had one when we moved from Alberta very good truck but somewhat rust prone in certain areas.

We pulled a couple Uhaul trailers (12'x6') no problems, of course before they said an explorer can't pull a uhaul. We also used to pull a 17' travel trailer with it.

My concern would be turning those tires with the 4.0.

I think that's the "other" roof rack, the one that doesn't have all the lights bolted to it. Check the other pics.

However, if you're right and that IS a spoiler, that's worth an extra $1000 off the asking price.

That explorer looks scary. Maybe if it lived in a world where it would never have to turn, like Alberta, it might be ok. I agree with you though, get a great deal and lower that thing and part out a bunch of the stuff for $$$ and you should be good.

Then slap that new turbo you got on it

Oh, pardon my mistake. After growing up in BC I thought AB was pretty straight. One night when I was driving from Calgary to Lethbridge I was trying to stay awake and thought I would count the corners, I lost count cause I forgot what number I was at, 3 or 4

Got a call from the guy today, sending me $500 tomorow through Western Union. Bringing another $6500 and the 'sploder up on the weekend to finish the deal.
The 'sploders getting shrunk and going on 31s. Going to try n get a BII off my GFs dad and end up doing some parts re-arranging. BII can be the toy and the explorer could go up for sale or turn into a family wagon.
