The only Ford's I know that used that Ratio (3.07)
were Granada/Monarchs and LTD's. My 75 LTD
had that ratio. Yours is a 1978 or later model though.
And the T in the part number stands for Truck line.
It would be a 9 inch though. That's all that really
matters.

Not sure if it would be a 9 inch as it has that look of a Dana axle and its 8 lug as it is in an 78 F250.

If it is in a 3/4 ton it is probly a DANA 60 full floater. but I can't recall ever hearing of a ratio that high in them.

It would be a DANA 61 full floater with that ratio. I have one just like it. AFAIK it shares many parts with the DANA 60 with 4:10 and lower ratios but it has a heavy case like a DANA 70. Ford called it their mileage maker axle and used it under E/F/250/350 2WD vehicles. It was frequently found behind the 400 or 460. You can search for more info. It is a very good axle.

Maybe number dummy can figure this one out for me. My tag says 3.07 D6TA FLB 603713 5. It is a Dana 60 full floater but it has smaller brakes than the camper special. And yes it is a highway cruiser. The darn thing will do 70 plus in 2nd gear and I have never opened it up in third. I am thing of trying to locate a Sterling to put into the truck.
