Oil blowing out of dipstick
My 96 powerstroke just started blowing oil out the oil dipstick, alot, what is happening? joshmuchow1@msn.com

Josh, first off, welcome to the forum. We're glad to have you.
It sounds like a blow by problem.
If you have oil blowing out the dipstick two things come to mind.
1. How much oil is in the motor?
If anything you should just have a slight haze blowing out of it, but no oil.
That is if you have alot of blow by.
2. The CCV (crank case vent) is clogged. Your CCV is on the drivers side valve cover. It's held on by two phillips screws and is connected to the intake tube. Pull that off and do your best to rinse it out with carb cleaner or of the like solvent. It doesn't come apart, so don't try. All you can do is rinse it the best you can.
Other than that, I'm sure the other guys will chime in and help out too. Good luck man.

Hey thanks guys, i will try that, i just had two injectors replaced it it, and i thought maybe that had something to do with it, if you have ever heard of this, let me know. thanks, oh by the way there is alot of oil blowing out of dipstick
