Question Bio-Diesel question........

A buddy of mine says there is two ways to make bio-diesel. One is to cook (heat) it and the other you dont have to. He has been making it for about 2 years for his wifes jacked up 4x4 excursion and swears he hasnt had a minutes problem. Is this possible? Whats the pros and cons of it if its possible?

Reacting with heat takes about 1 to 2 hours.

Reacting without heat can take weeks.

Technically your freind is correct but in real world he is incorrect.

I've never seen cold processed biodiesel pass a quality test.

Just because he hasnt damaged his engine doesnt mean you wont if you do it the same way.

I show a lot of people how to make fuel.. I'm always training someone every day and I can tell you that almost every single person who says "They learned from a freind" has been given false information.

No disrespect to "friends" but information seems to degrade as it goes from one person to the next.

Hope this helps..

Diesel secret is NOT bio-diesel. Make sure that you understand the terminology before you get confused when we talk about transversification and tritration as Murph has pointed out.
