I have a 94 that I installed a skyjacker kit on. I looked at almost every kit on the market. The Skyjacker kit comes with very strong cast iron brackets. Much heavier than most of the others. It was easy to install and everything fit as it should. I have 32" tires right now that look small. I know 33"s will fit and they say 35 's will fit if you shim the front bumper forward a bit. I'm saving up for 35's for my truck. What gear ratio do you have ? 35's may require a gear change. I'm planning to put 4.10's in. Good luck

I have an 83 that I am just now adding the 6" lift kit to. I purchased the Superlift suspension system with rear springs. Yesterday I started on the front (rear finished) and found the rubber spring pads worn out. The dealer could get them (in two weeks) way to long. So I went to the locate fill'em up station and grabbed and old tire out of the pile. I'll make my own. Heck, if they can last 50 or 60K miles on the road I should get the same off of the road. So make sure you get new rubber spring pads.

a couple of q's about a 4'' suspension lift for a 95 bronco

I have a 1990 Bronco with a 6" Skyjacker lift. It's an awesome lift for the money. I had shopped around for about 6 months for a lift and decided on the Skyjacker because the Class II kit has new rear springs, shocks, and seemed to be the best made for the money.

I purchased it from Hi Dust 4x4 in Virginia Beach, VA (www.hidust4x4.com) for $1550.00 installed. That included the Class II kit, shocks and labor (1 1/2 days work). I spent an additional $180.00 for 6 RS-9000 shocks, and it was worth it.

I looked at the other brands and this is what I came up with:
I have yet to speak with someone who is really happy with their Rough Country kit. Tough Country's are supposed to be really good, but I haven't ever seen one. Rancho's are ok, but they use drop blocks instead of add-a-leafs/new rear springs and I have a buddy who'd been having some of his parts fail after only 8 months.
The Warn Black Diamond kit is supposed to be very good, but I spoke with the Warn people and they've said they're discontinuing their Black Diamond line and don't yet have a replacement for Ford Vehicles. Probably not a good time to buy a Warn kit.

I'm really happy with the Skyjacker. I've had no problems with it and parts are readily available if I ever need them.

As far as the tire thing goes, on the 94 you can put 33s on a 4" lift without clearing the bumper. If you want 35's, you'll have to either clear room for them or get a 6" lift. I have 35" Thronbirds on my stock rear-end and I've never had a problem, however it would be nice to have the extra torque of the 4.10 in the mud...

Hope this helps and good luck!

LAST EDITED ON 30-Aug-00 AT 01:00 PM (EST)[p]So far, $1700 and counting. Now that is just of the 6" Superlift suspension with rear springs, radius arms, and Rancho RS9000s shocks (6). Doing all the work myself (except for alignment). Just installing the front now. Front diff is on the ground. Still have to purchase the Superrunner and steering stablizers for the bump steer problem that I will have after the lift. I found BFG 35x12.5x15 MT for $135 each. Will do that later when AT's are shot.
