Transmission isolator mounts?

I have an 84' with a 4spd/OD (Tremec RTS) transmission mated to a 300/6 and need to replace the isolators on my transmission. I cannot find replacement bushings anywhere. The replacement mount I find listed in parts catalogs is a solid mount. Has anybody dealt with this? Does anybody know what I need? (bushings or solid replacement mount?)

Search for my thread on transfer case mounts or tranny crossmember mounts. I could not find any either, but made a simple mod to fit some from a 78/79 Bronco. JSM84

How many transfer case mounts do you have? Some have 2 uppers only, some have 2 uppers and 2 lowers.

1980/89 F100/350 & Bronco:

2-E1TZ-6E039-A .. Transfer Case Mount-Upper

2-E1TZ-6E039-B .. Transfer Case Mount-Lower

These mounts have always been tricky to find in Ford parts catalogs for the average parts person who has little 4WD experience (there are exceptions ). One very good reason...they aren't illustrated anywhere! Since 1959, Ford in its infinite wisdom, has listed them after the front engine mounts in whatever engine catagory the vehicle is using in most catalogs. In some of the older catalogs, the part numbers are buried in the transfer case section or the manual transmission general section under Ford basic part number 7E053.

EDIT: 1966/77 Bronco; 1978/79 Bronco: B9TZ-6039-A .. Transfer Case Insulators (aka bushings, isolators, mounts) STILL AVAILABLE FROM FORD.

Just to add, and I think I mentioned it in that other post, those OEM insulators are $110 for the set and could not be found anywhere I looked, be it the dealership or parts suppliers. The JBG poly bushings I used were $35 for the set, with an upper and lower bushing for each side for a total of four bushings. That should be the same type of mount for the manual tranny/300I-6 on the 84 Bronco in the first post.

Thanks! That thread will help a lot. Right now it has two up and two down with the widest spacing being 12" (I think it was). I will crawl under when I am allowed to get dirty and have a new look see!
