I broke down along the freeway and a guy took off my distributor cap and diconnected the wires. I got it running enough to get it home but I have no idea of the correct firing order. Can anyone please help me. I can not afford a repair man.

 

we need the engine ya have so we can look up the firing order.

or you could call your local parts shop. they should be more than happy to tell you the firing order.

 

The firing order on the 2.8L is 142536. Cyls. 123 are on pass. side bank front to rear, and 456 are driver's side front to rear. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I went to the libaray and got a Chilton's book. It was different than the Haynes book I had and it worked better when the firing order was listed correctly. Thanks for your help.
