Power distribution box on 87 Bronco?

Hi,
About a month ago I got into a small accident and smacked up the front of my 1987 Bronco. I took both front fenders, the radiator support (it was rusted out anyway), bumper, trim panel, etc off of the truck and got replacement parts and painted them up. Anyway, I started putting it all back together on Wednesday. As soon as I got enough on to try starting it, I tried. It would crank over, but not start. I checked the spark, there wasnt one, and I also didn't hear the fuel pump hum when I first turned it on like it usually does. Before I took the front end apart, I had driven the truck to the spot where I was working on it. So it did run prior to disassembly. The problem should be relatively simple to fix, as I didn't disconnect any wires. From looking in my repair manual, I'm thinking that the problem may be one of the fuses in the power distribution box. However, I can't find the power distribution box! The manual says it should be "in the engine compartment on the left side fender apron," it's not. So my question is, where is the power distribution box located on a 1987 Bronco? Also, if the problem is not a fuse, what else might it be?

Thanks,
Randall

The power dist box is likely under the dash near the emergency brake release.

Re the crank but no start...could be a blown fusible link ...these are like fuses but live in the wiring harness...they are relatively easy to find but hard to test because you have to disconnect one ond of the wire the link is in.

You could have a bad ignition module...or, there is a tach pulse sender in the distributor that sends a signal to the ignition module...the one in my '84 went bad and you could crank till the vote count in Florida is over and it wouldn't start
