Trip to California, any parts?
Hi, Taking the family on a driving trip down the coast from Vancouver, Canada to Anehiem, California for the week of May 18 to June 1. Going down the Oregon Coast way and then up the I5 Hwy route. Was wondering if anyone along the way has any 1953 to 56 rust free fenders or a rad support panel in great shape for a 1956. Inner fenders are needed too. I have a 1956 Cab with 2 sets of great doors that I want to put together in the future and a 1953 on frame that could use a bit of up grading.
My other projects that are needing things are my daily work truck, a 1970 C**vy long box that needs fenders and doors and the way in the future project as it will suck funds, is a 1936 Oldsmobile coupe.
Will be driving my F250 and will have pretty much an empty short box.
If any one has anything that may help for any of these vehicles and are close by on our route, leave a message here or PM me.
Thanks,
Mymerc

I've worked with all of the below in WA & OR -- good folks. Also keep an eye on the Portland area Craigslist -- for some reason I am always seeing lots of mid-50's F-100 parts and trucks advertised. Must have been a big dealer in that area long ago.

Forgot to mention that you should definitely stop at All American Classics in Vancouver, WA. It's a parts yard full of almost every car/truck you can think of. They allow you to walk the yard. I was there a few years ago and was amazed at the amount of old tin. They had a good selection of 48-52 Ford trucks at the time. They should have 53-56 as well. Even if they don't, you should still stop by there.

Your entire vacation could be taken up with visiting/hunting down vintage tin.
Have fun!

Here are a bunch of parts I found in the local craigslist. However, they're located closer to the coast, near Highway 1.

If your coming down the I-5, you'll be passing my house when you go pass Magic Mountain Amusement park. Sorry no, fenders, etc. Next to Anaheim, is a city called Wilmington, there is a classic car junk yard known as Memory Lane. They have the fenders, inner fenders, everything you can imagine and often better prices then on auction sites. I've gotten lots of parts from them and am very happy. They even have guys that take the parts off for you.
