Very nice truck.

 

The truck is right around the corner from where I went to high school. I looked at it today and talked to the owner over the phone.

His family bought it new to use on their farm (a Hewlett-Packard complex now stands on their "farm"). He had the engine rebuilt and it is a clean engine. The truck starts right up, but idles a bit rich. The body is in overall nice shape. No rust through anywhere with the exception of a few rust bubbles in various spots on the hood. The bed sides are dented and the entire flatbed should be replaced. I didn't drive it as the owner wasn't home. It needs a full repaint or just a clear coat if you wish to retain the door signage.

He's selling it because he's tired of having it on his property and also he's late on his mortgage payment.

I might offer him $1k just to see if he'd take it. I don't really need another truck.

This is the second or third time that he's had on craigslist.
