Who has pics of 4.6L intake..TB, elbow and upper manifold?
here are some excellent pics and some good instructions on the removal of the tube

here are some pics of "the Poor Mans Airbox Mod"
personally I used a piece of black .125" abs plastic to fashion a ring OD 8.25" ID uhh right at 7.125 I think. really makes a difference.
and a HELL of a lot cheaper than the air raid or K&N FPIK rig. plus you still have the factory setup to put back on if (for some reason) you wanted to return to stock.

Hi richard,
Listen before you do the modification I have some advice for you.
First i just did it and it works great, however the instructions that i found on the web say to pry away the flex tube to access the silencer found in the plastic body of the intake hose. This is a long and tedious job and in retrospect i believe a waste of time!!. If you were to disconnect the hole system , using a long flat head (slot) screwdriver i believe you can seperate the silencer without removing the flex pipe. There is some adhesive that is holding it in, it requires very little pressure to detach this adhesive, once it is detached just push it out from the other side!!
