I got to thinking the other night, the smoke was rolling out of my ears, about the 6 disc changer in the dash. I burnt a CD-R of as many MP3's as I could on the disc and was wondering if the unit would read a DVD-R or similar format.

The only reason I ask is that you can store up to 4.7GB compared to 750MB on a CD. I couldn't find anything in the manual about it and was checking here to see if anyone knows anything about this.

well family entertainment system(FES) dvd player will not read a dvd+r mp3 disk.
indash cd player will not read a dvd. different lasers.
has someone tried a dvd-r disk in the FES?

I use dvd- all the time in my wifes Edge, and also when she had her 05 Explorer
