56 F100 stock suspension w/power ram assist

I had posted awhile ago that I was going through the 460 engine in my 56 and while it was out of the truck that I was also going to install an IFS. Well I am up to my ears in this job now and I have finally gotten some pics posted in my gallery of the stock suspension, both on the truck and off the truck. I need to get this off the driveway before too long so if you're interested drop me a line.

I decided to go with the Flat-Out Engineering crossmember for my IFS. This is a weld-in unit that is designed for the Corvette C4 A-arms and power rack & pinion assembly. I have the frame stripped and cleaned and the boxing plates installed. Now I have to get a little more deliberate as I measure everything out before welding the crossmember in. One thing I did find was that the front sump oil pan on the 460 is not going to clear the crossmember so I guess I'll have to look into the rear sump setup. It should be back down on all fours again by Mother's day....
