Changing a 5 speed manual to a 6 speed

Anyone know how involved it would be to switch out a 5 speed manual to a 6 speed?

This is on a 99 F350 with a V10

My 5 speed has some problems and needs repaired. I think I would like the extra gear, but it would depend on what issues I would run into with the switch.

You would a compairison between the two. I would think all it would take is: 6spd crank bushing, 6spd clutch disc and some fabricating on the transmission cross member. It's possible you will have to do some driveshaft shortening and if you have 4wd it will cause other issues.

Yeah, shouldn't be too bad. The zf6 also has a remote cooler.
