Every couple of days for the past two weeks or so, when I get into my 2004 F150 SuperCrew Lariat 4X4 first thing in the morning, the Homelink buttons, vanity lights in the visors, nor the map lights operate. After starting the engine and waiting about 1 minute or so, these items start to work again for the rest of the day without a problem. Initially thought some rain may have intruded upon some of the relays under the hood, but the dealer did not notice any water intrusion when I took it in for them to look at today. Nor could the dealer find any other potential causes. Any ideas what could be causing this intermittent operation??

 

Battery saver relay may be activating for some reason during the night. Maybe you have a door ajar switch sticking and your dome lights stay on after you exit the vehicle.

 

After almost two months convincing the dealer that I had a legitimate problem, the dealer finally replaced the central junction box for the battery saver relay today (part number 4L32Z-14A068-AG).
