Memorial Day
I see by the trusty calendar that Memorial Day is coming up at the end of this month, Monday the 28th. How's about we plan another GTG, possibly at Micke Grove, or maybe a two-day event complete with camping? I know a lot of folks make other plans for for Memorial Day, but this occurs to me as a possibilty. We need to have more group social functions and this might well be a good opportunity to do just that.
Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?
How about a San Francisco fun day? We all meet up in San Fran and spend the day doing fun touristy things, Fisherman's Wharf, GG Park, that sort of thing...SierraBen could be our tour guide. We could camp up in Marin somewhere if we wanted to make it two-day event.

You sure one of their freeways wouldn't fall on us? That would hurt! Excedrin headache number 8, maybe.
I would be up for a campout in your area (Clearlake), but need to avoid big cities (crowds) or anywhere there is a mosquito problem.
That is not to say I am against you guys having fun in San Francisco - I will enjoy seeing the pictures and hearing the stories.

The S10 has arrived, so hopefully it will be in my possesion by the end of the month. That will make it easier for me to attend events unless it will be a camping event, in which case I would take the gas guzzling camper.
(Wonder how hard it would be to put a Ford Oval on the grill, and Explorer/Ranger badging on the front fenders?)

I like the idea of a GTG, but in S.F.?
I need some R & R.
The camping thing sounds real good.
I love camping?
Samuel P. Taylor Park is nice (Lagunitas-Marin County)
Heck! Any place that has a camp ground is nice.
I need to camp. It's been years.
Hopefully I can make it to where ever this GTG is.

I'd be happy to host something up here. We have an excellent state park just a few miles away from me right on the lake, it has a swim beach, boat dock, RV facilities and so on. The end of May is usually really nice up here...
I still like the idea of a day in S.F. but that doesn't have to be right away, we could do it later in the summer when we're looking to cool off from the inland heat.

It's Clear Lake. Here's the park I'm talking about:

This is a pic of the boat dock area of the park:

And a little more on the area:

I have a boat, although it's not running right now. But I can borrow my bro-in-law's boat...
