I Have A 1998.5 7.3 With 80,000 Miles. I Has A Intermittent Light Injector Knock At Idle I Think Coming From #8 Injector (i Think) I Bought This Truck With 16,000 And Have Not Noticed This Knock Get Louder. I Was Told I Need To Replace #8 Injector?? Then Someone Told Me To Leave It Alone?? Will This Problem Hurt My 7.3 ????? THE TRUCK RUNS GREAT GOING DOWN THE ROAD.

Reason: to add more info
You might try the SS HPX line from ITPDiesel.com. That will help to balance your fuel pressure in the heads and will likely reduce noise, if it is from #8. CLICK HERE to see the item I'm talking about.

Do You Think The Knock Is Harmful? I Always Though It Was Normal? Like I Said The Truck Runs Good At This Time. Thanks I Will Check Out The Info On The Ss Hpx
Due to the design of our engines oil delivery and fuel delivery, it tends to make the #8 injector knock. While it may shorten the overall life of that injector, I don't think it warrants replacement. The new one will do the same thing unless you do some oil and fuel delivery mods. You can reduce some of the knocking by fuel line and in tank mods to reduce the air in your fuel lines, or just keep you tank above 1/4 tank will help a lot.
