Friend wants to buy a new Ford Escape

She's looking at the 2008 xls with a 4-cylinder. Comes with air, automatic and power everything.

Is this a good car?

Is there hidden rebates or anything like that she needs to know about?

Maybe contact Jim (FTE Username: Blackstock ) Actually, now that I typed in his username he will probably come to this thread. He is a dealer in Ontario and a sponsor of FTE (specifically the Ontario chapter).

We went and tried them out. It's a nice little car. I think she's gonna go with the XLT and a v6 though. The L4 is kind of noisy and the v6 does not sacrifice much fuel economy. And the XLT has the electronic front seat she likes.
