Ideal is about 100.

Realistic is 15-18, depending on gears, transmission, and how you drive it.

Calculate it. If you don't know what mileage you're getting, how do you know it's not very good?

well i just pumped 15 gallons the day before yesterday..and so far ive driven about 120miles and i have half a tank left...im going to drive until i absolutely need to pump gas again and calculate it....the reason im doubting my gas milage is because i drove from houston to galveston and back and i used 3/4 of the front tank...in galveston i pumped it up to full and i used a little less than half...the drive was only 50 miles going and 50 miles back at about 75 all the way

assuming that you were equipped with 16 gallon gas tank like my truck that would mean you used 8 gallons of gas to go 120 miles which would then put you at gettin 15 miles to a gallon which is about average. my ford f150 gets 18 miles per gallon but it is fuel injected with a 5speed tranny

okay if i understand you correctly you got 260 miles on 16 gallons of gas well lets do the math. 260 miles devided by 16 gallons of gas = 16.25 in essence then that means your average miles per gallon was 16.25 miles per gallon. and thats not bad considering your truck just rolled over to 200,000 miles.

Correct. I just did a tune up at 200,820 miles, pluggs, cap, rotor. And filled up my front tank 16 gallons. I got 266 miles of of it. before switching to my back tank. And Ill addmit I do 50/50 highway/city driving and usually running 75-80 mph on the highway. I really wonder how it would do if I did 70 on the highway. I have to say my truck runs just as good as the day I bought it at 112,000. Oil changes every 3000 miles.

I am getting 16 with my lift and bigger tires. I think that is pretty good for a box in the air.

Wow. The I6 is a strong, efficient engine. I just drove my bone stock (except for the chebbie rocker arms) '76 Supercab 2wd loaded down with about 700 pounds of band equipment and two passengers, and at a steady 60-65 mph on 70% flat, 30% hilly highway driving. I got 90 miles on 4.4 gallons - 20-21 MPG! Very impressive. The 1bbl carb, 4spd T18 tranny, and 3.00 rear end is a great combo, in my opnion.

I am only getting about 13 w/ a 4 spd tranny and 3:55 gears, 31 inch tires. I am still working on it though. That is in an 85 Bronco with a fairly heavy foot!
