.......which is sortof where you are most likely to have trouble anyway. I dont really see a point in having ABS on hard dry pavement.
As for the mitsubishi, the newer one that had abs is also lighter than the older one.....
And even if there was the difference that everyone seems to claim, its not enough for me. even on black ice there is still traction to be found, if you can feel the sheering point, and make desicions accordingly as the driver. With ABS however, the "feel" is gone as the computer takes over, and starts making desicions on its own.
You will never have an ABS computer that can compile and acccess all of the the experience that the human brain can.
Again I say, driver training is the answer, not vehicle sophistication.
I think of ABS as a handheld calculator; its a tool, not a solution.
