i always thought they just had dog sleds.

i don't know how the area is so couldn't say what news it would be.

one way is environmental impact,i know not to many people would want one around them, but then again there is not to many places to put something without it being next to someone.

don't know where you are at, but 90 jobs is either a boost or will not have hardly any effect. and i would never include "indirectly 200 jobs" in the equation, but sounds good to voters i guess.

personnaly, i think there is to much hype in biofuel and it is not the answer, or even a quick solution. to many variables in the reasoning behind biofuel.

is it for pollution reasons? oil dependency reasons? how much land is this going to take? is it going to be even more incentive now to clear cut forest to grow fuel? if so, is that better for the environment than fossil fuel?

how will the extra need for land for fuel effect food prices? will they strain the staple crops so much that there will be a huge increase in food prices, hence offsetting the supposly cheaper fuel? will biofuel even be cheaper?

if there is a shortage of staple crops, is our dependency going to shift from oil to food now?

i tried looking for actual scholar journals and other relaible sources for this info and i can not seem to find any answers to these questions.

have they been asked?

Clearcut forests in Innisfail? Nah. I'd be all for it. Easy for me to say though, being a time zone away.

Good news. With all these announcements of ethanol plants, corn prices have skyrocketed. This has a trickle down effect, farmers will be making money this year, and are buying lots of new equipment, which means a busy year for us farm equipment manufacturers.

That looks like good news. They ought to be a better neighbor than a oil refinery.

We have an old refinery 5 miles south of me.

They stopped using it about 5 years ago I'm told.

I used to live near a refinery. Then I moved near a flavoring factory. They had
peppermint and banana and butter flavored air pollution. A welcome change.

When corn prices go up, all the Africans will starve to death. Then there will be less AIDS and war. So its a good idea all around.
