Has anyone explored the idea of mounting a set of the new "tow eyes" attached to the current model body styles? I'm not near enough of a fabricator/machinest to actually do it, but it sure would be nice if someone could come up with a plan.
i asked other late model owners in the alt.trucks.ford newsgroup..they said they have done this and didn't have a problem with that accordion front rail section.
I found a great set of front tow hooks/eyes from a place called 4 wheeler Supply in Huntington Beach, Ca. 714-842-6064. They mount on the front around the frame ends. They require 5 bolts in them and only one goes through the frame. The others bolts clamp the hooks around the waffers in the frame. They work great!! I have pulled many cars out of the mud/sand/snow with them and have never had a problem with the tow straps hitting the bumper like the regular hooks you see mounted under most Broncos.
